The 2021 general elections in Uganda are gearing up and the Electoral Commission (EC) has given a deadline for all voters to go check their information. The EC wants to make life easier for Ugandans to know where they will be voting from without going to the polling center. For those who want to register or update their voting information however, may have to go to the centers physically. This situation has made it a busy season for the National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA) as scores of people flock the main offices at Kololo Airstrip to register for, pick or make corrections on their national IDs.
However, as the time flies on, there is need to know whether your national ID details do reflect on the national voters’ register to avoid any inconvenience during the time of voting. Using their online portal, and search by Voter Details or your National ID Number or NIN – depending on what you have or know. And, it will give you all the voter polling information and where you will vote from right to the Polling station as show with the screenshot below.
