Whether you are grieving because of a heart break or you are just not interested in a certain caller, its sometimes right to block a number. Well, it’s your phone and that means you have power to choose which calls you like to receive or not. Blocking takes more courage that you expected. The fact that you are reading this means that you have given it enough thought and finally decided to block that number. So without further ado, we shall show you how to block a number on your smartphone, whether it’s an Android or iPhone.
How to Block a number on Android
- Open the phone app and go to call history
- Go to the number you wish to block and long press on it
- You will see a drop-down menu with basic shortcut options
- Select Block number
- You will see a confirmation message specifying that “you will no longer receive calls or texts from this number.”
- Tap on block and the number will be blocked.
To be able to see the list of numbers blocked on your Android phone;
- Open phone app
- Tap on the three dots on the top right corner
- Go to settings
- Call blocking.
Here you will find the list of all blocked numbers. Just in case you wish to unblock a contact and remove it from here, simply click on the cross against that number.
How to block a number on iPhones.
- Open the phone app and go to call history
- Go to the number you wish to block and press information
- Scroll down and tap on ‘Block this caller’
- Tap on ‘block’ to block the number.
To see see the list of numbers blocked on your iPhone device, head over to Settings and tap on Phone. Click Blocked and you will the the list right there.
