Having revised their prices four times in a row. Taxify Uganda best known as the new ride hailing service on the block has today revised its prices once again discounted by 10% this time round. It seems the ride hailing service is still not yet stabilized in Uganda. Having slashed prices months after its launch in Uganda by 25% in December. The new Taxify prices are still relatively more affordable than any other Ride hailing service in Kampala. With the base fare increased to UGX 1,000 and the minimum fare at UGX 4,500 Taxify remains cheaper in Uganda. However, the new pricing was fairly hiked as compared to the December prices as shown below.
- Base fare: 1,000
- Per kilometer: 750
- Per minute: 110
- Minimum fare: 4500
The new Taxify prices are fairly increased as compared to its recent price slash for December. Having slashed the prices towards the festive season. Taxify may have offered a festive price offer quietly since the prices have only lasted for 1 month. As compared to their stable competitor Uber. Taxify seems to have settled with the new pricing as it plans to dominate the market in 2018. In comparison to its previous three price revisions, the new pricing appears final due to a fair increase from the previous festive pricing.
