Through its Twitter account, the Instagram public relations team acknowledged the difficulties of this Monday. “We’re aware that some of you are having issues accessing your Instagram account. We’re looking into it and apologize for the inconvenience,” they say in the message.
The social network’s issues peaked around 3:30 p.m. (EAT time), according to Downdetector, an online platform that offers real-time information on the current status of various platforms and services. More than 7,000 users have been reporting issues with Instagram on the aforementioned digital platform as of the time this article was written.
ne of the errors that users are experiencing has to do with the login, as shown in the screenshot. When they tap Sign In after entering their username and password. They see the message “Instagram login failed due to an error. Please try once more later.” Previous logged-in accounts don’t appear to be experiencing any issues.
The suspension of accounts for no apparent reason is another problem. As Trendulkar notes on Twitter, some users are receiving a message after attempting to log in informing them that their account has been suspended and providing a list of potential causes. The message also provides the user with the option to appeal the decision.
