Multichoice Uganda has come out to address its customers’ concerns about repeats and they say they are busy working with their channel partners on reducing the number of repeats and offering more fresh content on DStv.
We all know its annoying to switch on your favorite TV channel only to see a program that is being re-aired for the 100th time. Now that people are spending more time watching movies and TV series, several DStv subscribers have noticed that while they were away at work before COVID-19 pandemic hit, they were paying for multiple show repeats. In some cases subscribers have realized that two separate channels were repeatedly showing the same content.

It should be noted that the company will not do away with repeats entirely, but they plan to cut down where they can and bring their subscribers more fresh content. Multichoice Uganda has already implemented some changes to some of their channels to improve our customers’ viewing experience. For example M-Net Edge and M-Net 101 which show series were merged into one channel to reduce on the series repeats.
They have also reduced the number of M-Net movie channels, so you see fewer repeated movies across channels. MultiChoice Uganda will be introducing more themed movie pop-up channels and movie festivals on existing M-Net movie channels. With these changes –they have also introduced three brand new movies on Sunday nights instead of just one.
On Catch Up, MultiChoice Uganda subscribers will be able watch some of the latest series and some of these series come onto the Catch Up platform the same day they air worldwide.
In addition, if you are into movies, you can watch some of the latest movies at UGX 8,000 on Box Office which is a fraction of the price they are in our cinemas. Finally, MultiChoice Uganda customers should remember to download the DStv Now App or hook your
DStv Explora onto the internet and download all the movies on Catch Up Plus.
