Samsung is among the few OEMs that update its phones and this year is no different. The company is rolling out an Android 13-based One UI 5.0 version update for selected Samsung Galaxy devices. The company has begun the Stable One UI 5.0 update rollout for premium phones in late November, while the firmware’s deployment is planned to conclude in April 2023.
In early August, Samsung debuted the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 software iteration for the Galaxy devices. Initially, the update was released on the Beta channel for the Galaxy S22 series, which later expanded to the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S20, and Galaxy A52 devices.
The new software features faster animations compared to the previous generation of Android 13-based One UI. Google’s latest mobile platform brings the Themed Icons feature, which is adapted for capable Galaxy devices as well.
In addition, there are various tweaks and changes in different parts of the operating system of the Galaxy devices such as Gallery, System Settings, Notification panel, and Quick Settings interface.
