    Govt to retool teachers to Teach ICT

    The Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES),in conjunction with the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC), through UCC’s Rural Communications Development Fund(RCDF), has supported the establishment of ICT laboratories to enhance integration and penetration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in secondary schools in Uganda.
    The ICT laboratories have been installed in over 1,027 secondary schools and tertiary educational institutions. As part of enhancing the usage of these facilities, MoES and UCC have organized retooling of teachers to computer studies for schools whose teachers have been transferred to other schools thus creating gap in computer studies teaching as per the list below.

    The seminar is, phased into two lots, scheduled to take place at the SESEMAT In-Service Training Centre, Kololo S.S., Kampala during the period September 4-15, 2016.
    LOT 1: September 4-9, 2016
    LOT 2: September 11-16, 2016
    Feeding and accommodation will be provided at the SESEMAT In-Service Training Centre, Kololo S.S., Kampala and schools are urged to facilitate transportation of the nominated teachers.
