    Government commissions new CCTV cameras in Kampala with extended traffic control features

    In developed countries, CCTV cameras have turned out to be the criminal defense units with real-time synchronizations to a central data center. Though in Uganda the story may seem different, the journey to a world-class security city is on with new CCTV cameras trailing Kampala and the outskirts commissioned recently by the President.

    Although CCTV cameras are attributed to the fact that several officials were gunned down with no evidence left to collect. The rate of traffic violators including unregistered motorbikes trying to maneuver through illegal corners of public streets together with on street crimes will treble down as a result of the Huawei powered CCTV cameras as the President praised the Chinese manufacturer on this project again.

    The features embedded in all CCTV Cameras

    Unlike ordinary street/landscape cameras that tend to capture still details, the newly commissioned Kampala CCTV cameras have several functions embedded to both their raised boards and the fiber supported control centers. Among these, face and number plates recognition technologies will undeniably twist the role of ICT in the country development scheme. Nonetheless, here are camera features so far unveiled by security operatives

    While the Analog to digital tv revolution was a muscle flipped battle with subscribers. Government’s CCTV camera project is just another digital revolution that may boost serval IT sectors relying on the usage of these cameras including ride-hailing firms like Uber boda that may track down irresponsible drivers as a result.
