At the 2019 I/O Conference, the new Google Pixel 3a and the Pixel 3a XL were unveiled. Much as their announcement came as a confirmation of what was already known – from the rampant careless leaks that detailed the outlook of the phones, we knew quite little about their build and inside.
The Pixel 3a duo is a mid-range option of the expensive Pixel 3, and a lot of hype had hinted at the devices sporting the same camera technology available in the Pixel 3 – though without the premium look on the high-end model.
Google used plastic to build these phones instead of frosted glass or metal, and the front glass itself isn’t Gorilla Glass but rather Dragon Trail.
Both of these phones have headphone jacks, and this all defines the company’s motive to ‘bring a high-quality phone to a mid-level price’.
Google Pixel 3a Specifications
In brief, the Pixel 3a has a 5.6-inch OLED display with FHD+ (1080 x 2220px) resolution and Dragon Trail protection on top. It carries a Snapdragon 670 chipset with Adreno 615 GPU, has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, though there is no microSD card expansion slot.
A 12.2MP Sony IMX363 main sensor with f/1.8 aperture on the rear and a front 8MP camera with f/2.0 aperture make up the camera setup. To this you add the high-end camera features such as Night Sight, Top Shot, Super Res Zoom and HDR+.
The Pixel 3a battery is 3000 mAh and supports 18W of fast charging over the USB Power Delivery standard.

Pixel 3a XL Specifications
The Pixel 3a XL differs with a 6-inch OLED display and a bigger battery at 3700 mAh. Most of the other features are similar to what is on the standard Pixel 3a.
Price, Availability, and Colors
The Pixel 3a costs $399 while the Pixel 3a XL is at $479. Both are already available in all countries where Google sells its phones. The handsets come in three colors – Just Black, Clearly White and Purple-ish with all of them featuring color accent power buttons.
