Google Chrome Racer experiment connects Android and iOS devices for multiplayer gaming

Google showed-off its Chrome browser’s ability to sync Android and iOS devices together to create new multiplayer gaming experiences with a new racing game at IO today. The game, “Racer,” allows users to put devices together and control tiny toy cars around a Hot Wheels-style stunt track by tapping and touching their own device’s screen. The track itself automatically extends across all the device screens, with different segments of the track appearing on each screen.

The move follows up Google’s long-running series of Chrome Experiments by its own Chrome team and outside developers, but looks to be the first time such a combined gaming effort has been offered through Chrome.
