Tracking has always been controversial in modern days where people value privacy and security. Some apps like Snapchat will not give not give you access to their filter library unless you enable some features including location.

However, when used thoughtfully, it can be an efficient and powerful tool communication between the parties involved. From sharing where you are when meeting someone new to letting parents or colleagues know your whereabouts, all this had its fair share of benefits.

Here are four ways to share your whereabouts on your mobile device:

You will see the GPS symbol on the right side of the message box when using Android or the four blue dotted square on iOS. There are a bunch of options to choose, select location and when Facebook prompts you to turn on your whereabouts for Messenger tap “turn on”. 

Following this, whenever you send a message to your friend or contact list, they will be tagged with your whereabouts and the max time to share the location is strictly one hour where you can choose to stop it whenever you feel it.
