To add to this spate of rumours, apparently a Galaxy S9 retail box has leaked revealing some of the revered specifications for this years Samsung flagship. Samsung has stuck to the S8’s winning formula with the phone maintaining the same dimensions, the same super 5.8Inch QuadHD+ sAMOLED screen, the same 4GB/64GB Memory configuration, IP68 water and dust resistance among others but where it shines is the primary camera.

Whereas the S9 will maintain the same cameras of 8MP at the front and 12MP with optical Image stabilization at the back, the primary 12MP has a variable aperture of f/1.5 and f/2.4 for both low light and rich light environs respectively allowing for a rich depth-of-field photos. We can only wait to attest to this.

    Samsung Galaxy S9 Spec Leak

The Galaxy S9 also adds Slow Motion capturing with estimates suggesting 1,000 fps but what it leaves out is at what quality. The S9 will also have an Iris Scanner to unlock your phone by scanning your eyes (Not iphone X -esque Face ID) and it will also shine in the audio department as it will have stereo speakers tuned by AKG. Also on the list is wireless charging which has been a staple for Samsung flagships for a long time.

What the leaked spec sheet misses are mentions of the headphone jack and the S9’s battery capacity. Samsung hasn’t acknowledged and neither denied this recent leak though it remains tight lipped about what fans should expect of the Galaxy S9.
