First ever affordable Firefox OS phones the Alcatel OneTouch Fire and ZTE Open released

After a long wait, Firefox has released the first ever phones running Mozilla’s mobile software . The Alcatel OneTouch Fire and ZTE Open you see above are the the first ever FireFox OS phones and are will go for about $90. The low cost OS also comes with a catch as there’s still a significant amount of lag in the UI,
especially when scrolling through web pages and navigating the app tray.

We expect these affordable phones to be launched in developing nations soon as they hit the right price point for a low cost smartphone.
