Facebook is adding a new feature for sharing Instagram stories

I have been heavily addicted to Instagram lately, I mindlessly scroll through the feeds and end up spending a huge amount of my time on the app. Well, that might not be of interest to you but if you’re an addict like me or closely follow the trend on the photo-sharing app you know for now you can only share your Instagram stories via a Direct Messages with your friends or share it as a new post on your feed, but stories cannot be shared outside of the Instagram network.

However, that’s about to change. Recent rumors show Instagram is hard at work on a feature that lets you share a convenient link to your Instagram story to any other platform — text, email, social app, and so on.

The upcoming link share feature is reported to be so simple, you’d think it was already available as a sharing option to your IG story. It will allegedly assign a URL to your story where you can copy and paste anywhere to direct friends or anyone to your IG story.

We will need to sit tight on this feature as there’s no time frame for when the company will release it. Until then, we will keep you posted with any latest development regarding the issue.
