Looking to send your special one some cool birthday greetings over Facebook? You don’t have to strain your creativity as the social media app just recently launched the Birthday Stories feature which will let you add digital birthday cards, photos or videos to a story celebrating the day.
This creates a happy birthday message that is ‘visual, memorable, interactive and fun’ – exactly what you would possibly look out for in the message. And more to that, these can keep coming back as memories over the next years and sharing them makes the occasion even more special.
Facebook states that half a million of its 2.3 billion global users use Facebook Stories every other day and the company has found the users’ community to be in need of ‘creative and thoughtful’ birthday wishes.
These could be either funny photos or a curated video that brings back all the memories of any past birthdays.
How to use the new Facebook Birthday Stories feature
To use this new Facebook Stories feature, you just have to tap on the birthday notification, after which you can shoot or upload a photo or a short video, or use one of the digital birthday cards from Facebook. This will instantly give a birthday wish that you can share to deliver the big day message.
Read About: How to add a song to photos and videos you share to Facebook Stories
In October last year, Facebook introduced the option to add a song to photos and videos you share to Facebook Stories. So, you can as well add a music sticker to the card you want to share so as to give it a “Happy Birthday” soundtrack. Then, your wish will get added to your friend’s birthday story, creating a personalized slideshow for them.
There, you have it! Wish your friends and loved ones a happy birthday.
