    Equity Bank extends its Supreme Banking to Bugolobi

    Equity Bank Uganda, arguably one of the steadily growing banking institutions in the country, opened up a new branch on Luthuli Avenue in Bugolobi. The branch is an extension of the brand’s Supreme banking option, a direction that offers corporate service to clients, and is the second after the corporate and investment banking branch along Buganda Road.

    The new branch is set to offer customized banking solutions to customers, in addition to hosting them in a state-of-the-art lounges, with dedicated relationship managers, a boardroom for customer meetings, teleconferencing and videoconferencing facilities and free wireless Internet.

    Such private banking solutions with personalized service delivery are targeted at high end customers who don’t want the hassle of queuing for services. Ideally, Bugolobi is host to a number of those clients with the industrial area a hub of entrepreneurs and a number of businesses.

    The bank’s Managing Director, Mr. Samuel Kirubi, noted the shift in banking habits of customers with majority opting for mobile solutions – away from the traditional branch visits. He stated that the Supreme Branch has been set up to offer customized banking solutions with exclusive privileges.

    The Equity Bank Uganda Executive Director, Anthony Kituuka, encouraged customers to also continue accessing Equity digital banking solutions such as Eazzynet and Eazzybizinternet banking for individuals and businesses respectively as well as forex services on EazzyFX.

    Equity bank celebrated 10 years of existence last year and has since grown to have 36 branches, 25000 equity agents and 1000 points of sales terminals, all attending to close to 800,000 customers as of May 2019. Mr. Kirubi predicts that the end of the year will see the bank achieve the 1 million mark, as well as a doubled number in terms of agents and POS terminals country-wide.
