    DStv Uganda drastically increases it’s monthly subscription fees

    As the reality of the COVID-19 effects bite, DStv Uganda has made some changes to their monthly subscription fees. Unlike previously when a memo leaked that showed their price reductions, this time the company has revealed the new pricing on its social media channels.DSTV Uganda has increased all their monthly subscriptions on all packages with effect from today.

    The Premium has been increased from UGX 219,000 to UGX 227,000. DStv Compact+and Compact Bouquets will cost UGX 135,000 and UGX 84,000 from UGX 129,000 and 75,000 respectively. DStv Family monthly subscription will cost UGX 52,000 and DStv Access will increase by UGX 2,000 to UGX 35,000. See full comparison below.

    Reactions to the DStv Uganda price increase

    Several social media commenters have come out to express their disappointment based on the new increased DStv Uganda subscription fees. Some complained that the company keeps changing prices for the packages yet their content is the same. “We sports lovers are disappointed because some league games are not aired. You don’t have UG PL, Europa, French League, etc but you just love money,” he added.

    Another sports fan said “I can’t stand this nonsense from DStv Uganda. How on earth do I pay UGX 84,000 when I’m not going to access UCL. FA, and other notable leagues??? Bunch of thieves.” You can read more comments from the tweet below.
