    How you can easily review and delete your Google search history

    For every second you spend on the internet, you are likely to be giving away information about you through the things you look for on Google Search. And with data privacy scandals now a common scene with data handling firms, guarding your own is worth the time.

    Whatever you find not of use to anyone besides you ought to be trashed, and it is now easier for you to delete your search history on the desktop and mobile web versions of Google Search .

    In the past, you had to go to your Google account, select ‘Manage your data & personalization’ and then ‘My Activity’ to view and do away with any unwanted searches; but now it’s possible to do from within search itself.

    The new functionality also lets you adjust your ad settings and activity controls to decide exactly which information Google should save to your account.

    So, how do you delete your Google search history?

    If you are using a Desktop browser

    Sign in to your Google account. Click on Settings in the bottom right corner, and select Your data in Search to view the most recent searches. Choose to Delete your search activity.

    You can select to: Delete last hour or to Delete all search activity. Click on your choice and confirm.

    If you are using Google on mobile 

    On your mobile browser, tap on the three lines on the left of your search page. Click Your data in Search. Then, scroll down to find the two options for deleting the data: Delete last hour and Delete all search activity. Click on your choice and confirm.

    Just note that, if you delete your search data, you will not be able to get it back.
