Cooper Motors unveils the new Ford EcoSport to Uganda

We all have a checklist we follow when gaining interest in a car. It could be the size, the price, fuel consumption, or the availability of spare parts in case of need. One thing that unites lots of drivers is the ability for a vehicle to maneuver both road and off-road routes with ease. Such is a solution that the new Ford EcoSport fields.

The compact SUV, unveiled to the Ugandan market by the Cooper Motors Corporation – the official Suzuki, Mazda and Ford dealer in Uganda – is a perfect for family travels and is powered to pace energetically on the open road, through pot-holed tracks, up hills and even rugged terrain.

The Ford EcoSport improves the interior with user friendly controls, new seat designs for full comfort with up to 6 airbags for guaranteed safety. If you plan on travelling with luggage, the SUV sports a height-adjustable boot floor that can be raised to offer more storage, or even lowered to increase luggage capacity.

As of the launch, the EcoSport is only available with a 1.5-litre three-cylinder automatic drive unit which delivers 92kW and 170Nm of torque, though buyers can also choose from a 2.0-litre engine and manual drive option.

Not to forget, its fuel consumption is rated just above 6.0-litres/100km on the road – something fair enough for economists.

The EcoSport is priced from UGX 120 million and the new model does speak for itself based on the exterior and interior. There are various financing options available for you to own the EcoSport depending on whether you want it on lease or with the help of a bank.

The Cooper Motors Corporation actively partners with Stanbic Bank, DFCU bank, and KCB to grant customers the opportunity to get the car on credit.
