    Chrome Apps to soon grace your iOS and Android devices

    Google is currently  working on adding Chrome webapps to mobile devices, something which has been long overdue. By the end of January the company wants to be ready with a beta form. According to blog chromium the company has today released a toolset only for developers to port their apps to iOS and Android.

    Between the two OSes is the Apache Cordova layer

    Google opted to develop a compatibility layer called open source Apache Cordova toolchain which will allow programmers to wrap their apps in a native app shell and distribute the app on the App and Google Play stores. NICE!! With this same tool, developers will be able to port the necessary Chrome APIs, there will be no need for web apps or notifications stored on the phone.
