Feeling lazy to go do your own grocery shopping? There is an App for that. Operating as an e-commerce company caroots.ug and CarootsApp, Caroots Fresh Foods lets you order fresh groceries online and have them delivered to your office or home. Using their Android App, you can start shopping right away or just go to their site and shop there. When asked on how wide spread their delivery is in Uganda, The Team leader Caroot Agaba Andrew told this blog that “We operate within selected delivery zones which are also enlisted on the website as someone checks out to have them know their bill before hand.”

After someone is done shopping, an e-receipt to confirm the order is sent to their email immediately as processing of the order begins right away that is for Cash on delivery clients while those with mobile money we have to first confirm payment with withdrawal charges. The company promises to deliver only fresh produce they get from farmers and out growers from the garden, washed and delivered to your door step when they are still fresh.

When done shopping via the app or website, you can confirm your order by paying through our Mobile Money or cash on delivery. Average delivery price is about UGX 6,000 but for more specific areas, check out the delivery zone below.
