Rave by Flutterwave is used by over 45,000 merchants in the US, Europe, Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa and currently handles at least 2 million transactions a month. Among its notable merchants include Uber, Booking.com and TransferWise.

Xente, a Ugandan payments company, said that Rave made their expansion across Africa easier. Allan Rwakatungu, the Founder and CEO of Xente, commented; “Before Rave, we had to get in touch with partners individually in every country. Now we have one partner that can take us to many countries. Which is very awesome and doesn’t cost us that much.”

Solomon Kitumba, the Founder and CEO of Swipe2Pay, another Ugandan company, said; “It took us less than 5 minutes to sign up and upload our documents.” Adding; “For a company like ours that is looking to empower small businesses to receive payments via mobile money and cards, Rave presents a more efficient and cost friendly way of doing that.”

At the same event, Flutterwave announced that any business that signs up with Rave and completes 10 transactions is eligible to receive $5,000 in AWS Promotional Credit valid for 2 years for their Infrastructure Needs. The business will also be eligible for 1 year of AWS Business Support (up to $5,000) and 80 credits for Self-Paced Labs ($80 value).
