Uganda Airlines will have its maiden flight tomorrow, Tuesday 27th August 2019, instead of the earlier scheduled 28th. Apparently the maiden flight is slated to depart from Entebbe Airport for Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) at 10:00 am, with a select team on board.
The selected people will include technical officers, government officials, and media though it is not yet clear whether the flight is meant for marketing purposes or whether the persons involved will foot the bill.
The announcement for the maiden flight was made by Ministry of Works via a tweet on Sunday.
Uganda Airlines would later tweet that the Tuesday flight is “an inaugural flight and it is on this flight that we shall have politicians” adding that the “maiden flight on Wednesday is purely commercial.”
