    How to request Uber trips directly through a web browser without installing the app on your smartphone

    In June 2016, Uber launched in Uganda to too much fanfare and Ugandans have so far been  receptive of the service even with new players in the market. All it required was one to visit their phone App stores that is Google Play and the App store to download the app, signup with your email and phone numbers and you could then start booking rides.

    It has systematically been the same procedure for all this long but Uber has sought to bridge this barrier to using to its services, especially to people seeking to book an Uber ride but without these smartphones apps but with internet connected phones. All it needs now is an internet connected phones of course with inbuilt GPS feature.

    As an Uber rider, you may have faced a tough phone black out situation. With a 3% or less indicator on your smartphone not enough to open up your Uber app to request that quick trip. Well worry not since Uber now has a web version of the app that can enable you to request trips online without necessarily having access to your app. You can either do this on the desktop or on your phone as the latter comes in handy.

    Here is how to book an Uber trip directly on a computer or phone web browser

    Requesting for an Uber trip or even access your account no longer necessarily requires you to have the app installed. To request for an Uber trip directly while on a computer or phone browser. Simply visit m.uber.com which will prompt you with the login/signup page. However depending on your browser settings, you may need to grant Uber permission to use location services on your device.

    Apparently the new Uber service where users can request for trips through the web browser was not available. However due to increased demand and enhancement of rider needs, You can fully enjoy the service even without a smartphone.
