Blackberry Is Back With Another Porsche Design Smartphone

BlackBerry is launching its next Porsche Design-branded smartphone, dubbed the P’9983, and will launch it in October. Unlike last year’s P’9982, the Porsche-emblazoned predecessor, brings back the QWERTY keyboard — but just like a real Porsche, the P’9983 will likely be sold at a hefty price.

The new P’9983 is equipped with a 3.1-inch screen, with a 720 x 720 resolution display, and 64GB of internal storage. The phone is really a luxury brand and Blackberry wants you to feel it, that’s why the used a costly sapphire glass for the P9983 — but don’t get fooled the sapphire is only for the small camera lens not the front display.

Each P9983 has its own PIN ID group, meaning fellow BlackBerry users can identify themselves. This new model is expected to cost about $2,000 based on the price of previous series.
