    Bill Gates back to the top as world’s richest

    bill-gates-3This one man can decide to Fund Uganda’s budget for next several years, the Microsoft founder and philanthropist Bill Gates has once again reclaimed the title of world’s richest person in Forbes’ latest ranking of billionaires. Worth $76 billion, Bill Gates has managed to kick off Mexico’s Carlos Slim, who held the top slot for four consecutive years. Bill Gates has been the world’s riches man for 15 of the past 20 years. And while his stake in Microsoft makes up less than a third of his total fortune, Forbes predicts Steve Ballmer may soon pass Gates as the company’s largest individual shareholder.

    After the appointment of new CEO at Microsoft Satya Nadella, Bill stepped down from his role as chairman last month, and serve as a technology advisor to the Nadella.  Gates will continue to focus his attention on various philanthropic projects including The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. He has given away over $28 billion over the years.
