Dr Web’s report showed that the apps used five malware variants between them, three of which were native to Android and two others using the Google Flutter framework. What is common to all the variants is that they used identical configuration file formats and JavaScript code, so they were classified as the same trojan.

Dr Web informed Google of these Facebook infesting applications and the company subsequently removed the apps and also banned the developers from the store.
