Best know for film and instant photography, Polaroid as of today announced, a pricey $1,000 50-inch Ultra HD 4K TV that they will display at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show.
Company diverting into product categories
Polaroid has also positioned its self as on other products like Android tablets, sports video cameras, and consumer digital cameras. According to Polaroid’s Blog, the new 4K TV features three HDMI inputs and what the company claims to be “the highest quality picture resolution at the best price.” It’s an attractive sticker price to be sure, but we have our doubts that this set will compare favorably to products from other manufacturers. Polaroid is also releasing another American centric product like a a 50-inch Smart TV with a built-in Roku Streaming Stick for $599.99. They also hope to reduce the 4K TV sizes to 32 inches.
