Apple wants to pimp your car’s dashboard with this

Today Apple has officially announced it’s latest product for the motor industry known as the CarPlay, its new in-car interface that’ll be simpatico with new Volvo, Ferrari and Mercedes cars unveiled at the Geneva Auto Show this week. The CarPlay is designed “from the ground up” to bridge the gap between your iPhone and your vehicle, it will offer touch and Siri-based voice navigation of your smartphone services.
There features include contacts, voicemail, notifications, map directions and music cueing. Using a button on the steering wheel, you will easily activate Voice controls . For those familiar with iOS7 icons,  you will find even bigger versions of them gracing the in-car touchscreen. The service will launch as an iOS update for Lightning-enabled iPhones (that’s iPhone 5s and up), with CarPlay-compatible vehicles launching later this year.
