Everything coming to Apple TVs in the tvOS 13 update

Like for the other departments in which Apple has a stake, the TVs too are getting an update this Fall with a new tvOS 13, as announced at the 2019 WWDC held in San Diego. The latest television OS comes with not so many yet important updates for the next generation of Apple TVs.

Apple is revising the home screen to allow for live previews and better organization of apps. So, users can swiftly enjoy great new TV shows, movies, music and games. The company is also adding multi-user support in the new tvOS 13 as well.

This will make it easy to switch between family members for everyone to get their own personalized entertainment experience. Each user will be able to see their unique Up Next list and receive TV and movie recommendations based on their tastes.

For the gamers, tvOS 13 is getting a revamp for you. The devices running on the OS will have native support for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 controllers and they can connect easily any of those. Additionally, Apple is allowing unlimited access of up to six family members to a single subscription, with over 100 new and exclusive games available with no ads or additional purchases.

Apple tvOS 13 also comes with new underwater screensavers. The company says it collaborated with the BBC Natural History Unit to avail the “immersive videos captured from the depths of oceans around the world (which) showcase mesmerizing creatures and scenes.”
