    Apple next Mac OS X Mavericks and other Apps will be available today as a free download

    Apple wont charge you a penny for its next big OS update  OS X, 10.9 Mavericks, as it will be available as a free Mac App Store download today. Unlike Windows 8 OS that would cost you at least $199 Apple has gone in favor of making the OS free for all new mac book or mac book pro users. In addition Apple has make iLife and iWorks (think office for Windows) apps also free. Users of even the old mac books will be able to up grade to OS X with the usual promise of increased speed and efficiency, the update has a number of improvements over 10.8 Mountain Lion, including a more robust notification system.

    This is the first time Apple has distributed a major update like Mavericks without asking for a dime— It should be noted that 10.8 Mountain Lion was priced at $19.99, while 10.7 Lion was $29.99. The free update is available to everyone running OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard and above.
