Apple lead designer Jony Ive to auction bright red Mac Pro for charity at an estimated $ 60,000

As we still await for the release of Apple’s latest Mac Pro, seems Jony Ive and fellow designer Marc Newson have crafted a separated model of the upcoming machine. This comes as the latest entry in their high-end charity auction for Red at Sotheby’s.

This unique Mac Pro appears to be very similar identical to its standard black that will be sold commercially, the only difference with its aluminum shaped sibling is the bright red coating, or candy-apple color that makes it look all the more eye popping. We still don’t know the actual specs of the machine up for auction, but the starting bidding price for it will be in the range of $40,000 and $60,000 though, so one would hope that it’s as high-end as it can possibly get.

The designers duo have also put together quite a few other products for the auction too, including, an aluminum desk, and a golden version of Apple’s EarPods.  You can see the full auction can be viewed here.
