Android messages rolling out a new Text from PC feature to ease SMS delivery

A group of Android developers under their publicly known umbrella XDA developers have come up with a fresh new idea to transform smartphone messaging. Android messages being one of those top notch must have system apps embedded in every device release. A text from PC feature is reportedly yet to be unveiled as a hustle free texting solution.

Although broad 3rd party apps exist with desktop to smartphone texting solutions, having an official system app with the same functionality can eventually pay off as Android Authority confirmed the new android messaging feature. But then, Google’s desktop texting offer will pose a huge blow to Apple which may prefer to tweak iTunes.

XDA developers has shared screenshots of the Beta android messages feature. Just like WhatsApp on the desktop, a QR code will bridge the gap between your phone to the desktop with a live link for proper messaging. Therefore, you won’t soon have to touch your phone in order to send a text message but rather operate with the Desktop version of Android messages app.
