Airtel Kenya reduces roaming rates in Rwanda

New-Airtel-LogoAs we prepare for the One Area Network project where East African countries including Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda and South Sudan will scrap roaming fees by December 1st, Airtel Kenya has revealed that it will reduce call rates to Rwanda by 60 percent and also offer free incoming calls for postpaid and prepaid customers. Of course this is a reactionary move after after Safaricom reexamined its tariff rate in Rwanda. Safaricom set the bar high by offering its customers up to 60 percent discount while roaming in Rwanda.
