    Airtel Kenya Launches eSIMs. Here’s how to activate

    Airtel Kenya has announced the launch of eSIMs, following the lead of other mobile service providers like Safaricom and Telkom Kenya. The new eSIM technology enables Airtel Kenya customers to have multiple phone numbers on a single device without having to switch physical SIM cards, which offers more flexibility and convenience to users.

    eSIMs are gaining popularity globally due to their many benefits, including real-time phone number switching without having to visit a physical store or wait for delivery. This feature is especially useful for those who travel often or need separate phone numbers for personal and business use.

    How to activate an eSIM with Airtel Kenya

    Customers need to follow a few simple steps. First, they need to ensure that their device supports eSIMs.

    Most modern smartphones, including the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone SE (2nd generation), iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, Google Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL, Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL, Pixel 5, and Samsung Galaxy S20, S21, S22, S23 series and Note 20 support eSIMs.

    Once customers have confirmed that their device supports eSIMs, they need to choose Airtel Kenya as their service provider and request a QR code. This QR code can then be scanned by the device to activate the eSIM. Customers will need to enter their phone number and account details during the activation process.
