Africell Uganda’s new daily data bundles just got better

Africell Uganda is busy wooing data mongers to its growing mobile data network and this strategy seems to be working at least for now, this comes as the battle for who offers the cheapest mobile internet rages and reaches it peak in Uganda.  Airtel and MTN Uganda recently revised their data bundles that offered more for less or the same price. Africell Uganda has joined the bandwagon to ensure that its subscribers don’t churn, by increasing its daily data bundles by 100%. So now for the same price, you get twice the data.

Africell has been very aggressive to ensure it capitalizes on its core cash-cow service ever since they realized that what they bought from Orange was a robust data network with a good reputation to go with it. As new customers increasingly join the Lebanese based network, it seems Africell is also not ready to disappoint and has of recent matched all of its competitor’s offering down to very kilobyte.

In the new data rates, for UGX 500, you now get 50 MBs (formerly 25 MBs) and for UGX 1,000 you now get 120 MBs (formerly 60 MBs).

Trying to surely live up to its “Don’t be cheated” slogan, Africell is ensuring that their internet users are never left out nor paying more than the competition. As customers, we hope these price wars continue so everyone gets more data for less or even for free someday.
