With over 300 million people using Facebook Stories every other day, the company has thought of a way to keep them clinged to the feature. Just like the feature to add music on Instagram Stories as was unveiled earlier this year, users should be able to do the same with Facebook.
The social media platform believes that music is key to remembering moments, and it is the reason for the latest feature.
How to add music to Facebook Stories
Take a photo or video from the Facebook Camera or upload one from your camera roll, and then tap on the sticker icon to select the music sticker.
Look out for the song you want to add, with an option to choose the part you want to share and add the sticker with the artist and song name.
You can customize your story by moving the sticker around and adding other stickers and effects to it.
How about music on your profile?
Facebook says they will soon be launching the ability to add songs on your profile, specifically to a “new music section”. Here, you will also be able to attach a song of your choice to the top of your profile for your friends to listen to. This will include the artist name and track name as you choose.
When anyone happens to play the song on your profile, they will hear a clip of the song and see an accompanying video featuring photos of the artists and album art. There will be an option of choosing to add the song to their own profile or visit the artist’s Facebook Page.
