    A list of the 10 most visited Ugandan websites in 2020

    Thanks to popular statistics and analytics services like Alexa and Similarweb –it makes it easy to spot the most visited websites in any country. They offer total traffic and unique visitor information. The stats are estimated based on daily unique pageviews per visitor on each site and are updated daily based on the cumulative three months.

    Of course, there are obvious websites like Google, Facebook, YouTube, Yahoo, and Zoom that have dominated the top 5 slots but we shall concentrate on local websites and there are some surprises.

    Most of these metrics used by these ranking websites are estimates that are based on their global data panel which represents a sample of the Internet users in that particular country.

    To generate the metrics, they count visits and pageviews for each site and apply data science to estimate what the total traffic and engagement for each site might be.

    They also show directly measured metrics for sites that are Certified and that have chosen to publicly display their Certified Metrics. If these metrics are public they will replace the estimates. Website owners are always encouraged to certify their own site with a subscription to their subscription plans.
