Apple has finally launched its Netflix competitor called the Apple TV+, but it’s sad to hear that it won’t be available in all countries. Just like Neflix, Apple TV+ is not only limited to the western world unlike Hulu, Amazon or HBO. The service will cost UGX 18k ($4.99) per month in over 100 countries at launch. In East Africa, only Uganda will be get the service skipping Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda.
Apple also announced that all New iPhones, iPad, Apple TV purchases will come with one year of Apple TV+ for free. The streaming service will also be available on the TV app on select 2018, 2019 and newer Samsung smart TVs, and on Amazon Fire TV, LG, Roku, Sony and VIZIO platforms in the future.
Up to six family members can share Apple TV+ subscription and watch using their own Apple ID and password. Only one one-year offer is available per family, regardless of the number of devices purchased.
