    Daniel Odaka, Airtel Uganda’s Digital Channels Manager, expressed his enthusiasm about the app’s success, stating, “We are delighted to see the numbers growing on the MyAirtel App, demonstrating customers’ confidence in using our platform for transactions.” He emphasized the app’s ease of use and convenience, allowing users to manage their finances and digital lives without the need for bank visits or reliance on USSD codes.

    The MyAirtel App’s popularity aligns with the broader digital trends in Uganda. According to the Datareportal Digital 2024 Report, Uganda boasts over 13.3 million internet users, representing 27% of the population. Additionally, mobile phone penetration is at nearly 68%, indicating a strong preference for mobile-first solutions. This growing digital landscape presents a promising future for mobile apps like MyAirtel in various sectors, including finance, e-commerce, and education.

The app’s Data Usage Manager, for instance, empowers users to monitor their data consumption and make informed decisions about their mobile data plans.
