Just a month ago we reported to about the rebranding of ride-hailing app Taxify into a new name Bolt in Uganda where they plan on having a rebranded competition to the already established brands in the industry across the city.
In a bid to fulfill their broader vision of easing transportation within the city, today the Estonian based company started a new campaign which sees them give a 15% discount on fares on all Boda category. This is a direct competition to SafeBoda whose prices has been increasing lately and when executed correctly this move might win for them more riders and customer base.
Check out the awesome new prices when discounted
| Distance | Old Bolt Price | New Bolt Price |
| MUBS Stage to City Square | From UGX 2,500 | From UGX 2,000 |
| Kisaasi Stage to MUK Main gate | From UGX 3,000 | From UGX 2,500 |

They assured clients in the email that their riders will be compensated during the campaign period to sustain good earnings which is a good opportunity to have an improved user experience from their predecessor Taxify that had a poor review and rampant complaints from riders about poor pay.
The company has existed since 2013 and has operations in over 30 countries globally. In Africa, it operates in Kenya, Egypt, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Ghana, and Nigeria.
