In a democratic world, it would be nice if everything were to be done the way you want to, at the time of your choice. It is even nicer when this democracy finds room in your daily work, like giving you the ability to schedule your drafted emails to be sent at specified times in the future.
How about that, without having to dig deep for extensions to assist you?
As part of their 15th anniversary ‘celebration’, Gmail has announced the addition of the Schedule feature, which lets you ‘write your email as you normally would, then schedule it to arrive in your recipient’s inbox at a later date and time.’
For instance, if you need to write an urgent message to be delivered early the next morning – like birthday or new year greetings, you can opt to write it late at night and then go on to schedule it for the time it should be sent.
Let’s look at how you can do this.
When using a desktop
When sending your email via a desktop in the past, you should have been used to a solid blue Send button at the bottom of your email composition window. The new update includes a little arrow tab, indicating additional features.
A click on it will reveal the Schedule Send option, where Google will propose a few times for you to choose, as well as the ability for you to schedule the email to be sent out whenever you like.

When using your mobile
In the various mobile versions of Gmail, the Schedule Send Gmail feature varies. To gain access to it, tap on the three dots next to the Send arrow icon, and look out at the top where you should find the option.
