    Father of Android Andy Rubin says that Andriod was originally for cameras

    Most of us who’ve followed the history of Android tend to presume that the Android OS was originally for smartphones. Andy Rubin says that the OS co-creator just cited at a Tokyo summit that Android was first canted over in April 2004 as the foundation for connected cameras that would store photos online.

    It was later discovered that the digital photography market was relatively small, so the callow team shifted its attention to cellphones within the space of five months. The rest is history for that team after that wise decision was made.
