WhatsApp for iOS might soon get a feature that will let users preview a voice message. This feature, however, is still under development and WhatsApp has not released a date for when it will be available. Currently, on both iOS and Android devices, you need to open the app and fast move to chats to hear a voice message.
iPhone users will start getting push notifications for voice messages once this new feature is released. This will allow them to access the voice message straight from the notifications panel.
According to reports from WABetaInfo, “the preview voice message feature may be part of a larger update for iOS 13 that will be made available in the coming months”. And besides the voice recording preview, Apple users will also receive the dark mode on iOS 13.

It is also being rumored that WhatsApp is developing a “quick media-edit shortcut for both Android and iPhones”. This feature will let you quickly edit photos sent on the chat. Images sent on WhatsApp will have an ‘edit’ tool in the menu on both iOS and Android devices, the edit feature will be available on the shortcut menu.
Besides these updates, WhatsApp is “all set to roll out 3D Touch to check status, WhatsApp fingerprint authentication, consecutive voice messages and a new way of ranking chat contacts”.
