Samsung has today unveiled its new Galaxy Fold device that has been teased for long. Along with Galaxy s10 devices the new Galaxy Fold is supposed to bring new way for smartphone users to interact with a device with a new form factor. The Galaxy Fold is built to be a one-of-a-kind luxury device

The Galaxy Fold will come in fancy-sounding color schemes including “cosmos black,” “space silver,” “Martian green,” or astro blue.” . “Multiple interlocking gears” and the screen should hold up to foldings “hundreds of thousands of times.” Some will have yellow on the hinge color — actually you can personalize the hinge color.

The interior screen is so large that it powers a truly next-generation experience, one never before seen on a smartphone and it allows for “app continuity” a the software feature that lets you switch between screens without pausing. “App Continuity” is a way for the app you’re looking at on the front display. It auto-opens the app on the bigger screen when you open it. Samsung worked with Google to optimize apps to make apps work with this system. Samsung worked with Microsoft for custom Office apps versions and for YouTube to give free YouTube Premium access.

The Galaxy Fold comes with state-of-the-art 7nm processor and 12GB of RAM combined with 512 GB storage space. It also has Universal Flash Storage 3.0 (eUFS) should mean faster write speeds.

Two batteries and 6 cameras

Talking about batteries, there are two in each side of the phone using a special engineering process and give a total 4530 mhA power. It’s got six cameras! Three cameras sensors on the back and two on the inside and one more on the front.

The fingerprint sensor is on the side. Folded, it is pretty thick but manageable. It’s super tall, too. The front screen has really big curves on the corners, looks like.

It will cost $1,980 starting price in both an LTE and 5G versions and is expected by April 26th, 2019.
