Someone must have seen this coming, we saw the design story of the Galaxy s5 but one thing was eminent, it remains a plastic phone with less hardware innovations. According to Reuters the Galaxy S5’s lukewarm critical reception has apparently accelerated change at the higher levels of the Korean Electronics Company.
The head of mobile design, Chang Dong-hoon, tendered his resignation last week, and will be substituted
by his VP, Lee Min-hyouk. At 42 years Lee becomes Samsung’s youngest senior executive in 2010 for his role in designing the Galaxy series, a roaring success which unseated Apple Inc’s iPhone as king of the global smartphone market.
It’s mere rumors as to how this will affect Samsung’s future smart devices. Lee, acquired the nickname of “Midas” for his golden touch with the Galaxy series. Will Samsung build a smartphone with higher build materials?
