    Samsung acquires Apple Pay contender

Apple last year unveiled it’s mobile payment platform called Apple Pay, and as expected rival company Samsung has also acquired LoopPay, another mobile payments company whose technology could allow it to build a viable Apple Pay contender. Samsung’s new in-house acquisition will help “strengthen the company’s overall efforts to provide users with seamless, safe, and reliable mobile wallet solutions.”

The company is expected to announce the service on the up coming launch of the Galaxy s6, and integration of LoopPay’s technology could help boost whatever mobile payments offering the conglomerate has up its sleeve.
