The most common way Ugandans consume information on Radio is over the free to air methods thanks to the embedded free FM radio transmitters in our cars, hand held AM/FM radios, cellphones and the list goes on. Online radio is mainly beneficial for Ugandans who leave in the diaspora or for those who don’t stay in the big city where these FM stations transmit and have some data to burn (unlimited internet). There are tons of music-listening apps in most of the big app stores, but when you want to find new music, there’s nothing better than a streaming-radio app. These apps are set up for browsing through stations and genres so you can get a fresh dose of new options based on the music you like.
One of the obvious choice here is an app like Tunein Radio (free – iOS|Android|Windows|Web), one of the few apps that features most of Uganda’s FM Radio Stations. These are the 25 FM Radio Stations in Uganda on the Tunein Radio App. (Note some stations may not be working at particular times)
