The itel S12 will wow you with its dual selfie cameras. Here is why you should buy it

Never on the Ugandan market have we heard of a dual selfie camera phone aside from weird concepts thrown all over the internet but itel has it here. It is called the itel S12 and follows itel’s camera centric range of phones in the with the ‘S’ moniker. They also have their battery centric phones like the P51. The dual selfie cameras being the main differentiator of the S12 from any other phone out there on the market, let us talk at length about them.

One has a normal view lens while the other is wide angle lens, allowing it not only a solo (as most selfie cameras) camera but a wide angle selfie akin to group photos but this time around, it will be the front camera at play. The normal view lens is calibrated at 63° while the wide angle lens is calibrated at 86° allowing its to have a wide depth of view for the groupies to take selfies. If we are to do the maths, the normal view selfie camera is 2MP while the wide angle one is 5MP. Both the solo and group selfies can be displayed simultaneously on the S12’s front screen so you can see how they look before they brace your Facebook, Instagram or Snapchat accounts.

The other camera of the itel S12

Of course you won’t only take selfies with the itel S12 since it comes with a 8MP camera with autofocus for normal photo subjects. This comes with live filters so you get to preview how your photos will look like with filters on without even pressing the shutter button. The rear camera can also be prompted by the rear fingerprint scanner for quick snaps.

    And also the fingerprint scanner

Speaking of the fingerprint scanner, it is is pretty fast and works under 0.2 seconds. It also does a lot more than just take photos, it unlocks the phone, picks/accepts phone calls, authenticate apps and payments (for apps that allow it), quick launch apps on top of securing the device with your biometrics to avoid intruders.

    The other outstanding feature

The itel S12 has a 5.0Inch HD screen that also has what itel calls the Blue-Ray eye protection. Once toggled, it reduces on the eye strain that providing a set of protection to your eyes especially for people that spend a considerable amount of hours gazing on their phones screen.

The itel S12 won’t break the bank and retails for around UGX 285,000 which is pretty affordable for all the above. It is also available at most itel branded shops across the country.
