Infinix launches the Zero 5. Checkout  the specs, pricing and where to buy from

We haven’t been short of smartphone launches for the past couple of months and Infinix is no exception. They launched their flagship device, the Zero 5 in Dubai and boy it hasn’t disappointed our expectations.

The Zero 5 will come in two storage configurations. While the standard Zero 5 has 64GB of Storage, the Plus model comes off with 128GB but the rest remain unchanged under the hood. The new addition however is USB -Type C to Infinix’s flagship line that has been a no show for quite sometime.

    Under the the hood

Infinix also introduces a dual camera set up on its Zero 5. A 12MP wide angle lens and a 13MP telephoto lens plus a 16MP selfie shooter, a 5.98Inch Full HD screen (1920×1080),6GB of RAM, XOS 3 atop Android 7.0 Nougat and is powered by Mediatek’s Helio P25 with a massive battery juice of 4350mAh. It also has a fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication at the back.

    In summary

    • Camera: 12MP + 13MP Back Camera and 16MP Selfie camera
    • Screen: 5.98Inches Full HD Screen
    • RAM: 6GB
    • ROM: 64GB/128GB
    • OS: XOS 3 atop Android 7.0 Nougat
    • Processor: Mediatek P25 (MT6757)
    • Battery: 4350mAh
    • Other: Fingerprint Scanner

It plays within the same league as Tecno’s Phantom 8 though it dwarfs the latters battery but we can only tell the difference in experience between the two devices. The Zero 5 is expected to launch here within the coming weeks in various Infinix branded outlets for around UGX 1,200,000 – UGX 1,400,000.

So much emphasis has been put on the term #PortraitMaster judging by the marketing communique going around, so we anticipate Portraits to be an integral part of the Zero 5 or Zero 5 Plus therefore the dual cameras better something.
